Welcome to the thread, you have some work to do...

How tall are you if you don't mind me asking?
Very short for my weight.

What the fancy scale had to say. No idea how accurate these things actually are, but the lean mass is in line with what I got measured at by a biokineticist a while back.

95.9 today. Question is if I will fuck it up this weekend. I've already organised a Mr D R75 of R100 first time order voucher and am busy browsing Indian food...

As long as I'm back on the wagon on Sunday, I should have a good result Monday, though not today's 95.9 I think.

Been a bit blocked up the last few days.

Feeling a bit like the suez canal...

But so far this morning 4 ships have gone through.

Also got some keto strips just to check I'm on the right track, all good so far.

Is that normal for keto? So basically as much protein as you want but no carbs? I remember a few years ago you or another keto fan mentioning sweats or smelling or some side effect? What do the strips test?

Strips test for ketones in urine. Basically that you're in a ketogenic state.

Yup go mad on protein and fat, limited catbs. Ketones on your breath may smell odd, like acetone.

You can get constipated if you don't get enough fibre.

Mmm, think I'll pass and stick to my method:

The keto diet could cause low blood pressure, kidney stones, constipation, nutrient deficiencies and an increased risk of heart disease. Strict diets like keto could also cause social isolation or disordered eating. Keto is not safe for those with any conditions involving their pancreas, liver, thyroid or gallbladder

Low blood pressure? Cool, I can then stop my BP meds.

Kidney stones? Highly unlikely given the quantity of water you're supposed to drink

Heart disease? Lol, it's the absolute best treatment for elevated cholesterol that exists.

Nutrient deficiency? Doubtful, I take a really good supplement.

I was more thinking of the liver and gallbladder in my case. I'm pretty sure my liver is a bit vrot and I am convinced I have a galstone.

So, did a quick weight check this morning. Not looking good, despite eating properly etc.

I suspect what is happening is that leg and core muscles had really started to shrink due to inactivity during lockdown and quarantine. Now I'm living on the third floor of a house, up and down those stairs several times a day, together with all the walking, maybe that muscle mass is coming back. I do feel thinner and people are noticing changes in my face shape which is a good indicator that the fat she is starting to go. Just the weight increase is disheartening.

Maybe it's the Bill Gates 5g nanobots replicating?

Don’t be disheartened, the weight isn’t everything. Seems to me you are just shifting some of it about just now as you change your habits, but have no doubt the exercise and good eating will definitely pay off.

Finally some downwards movement again after being stalled for two weeks (my own fault for taking too many cheat days). If I behave I'll reach 90 in 5 weeks, that's normal weight for me on the new BMI (85 on the old one). Easter is a tough one though.
