A month later and only got to it today. More weeding, mushroom compost in, regular compost in, bone meal mix in, soil turned. Mint planted before they die. I’m knackered. Root veggies go in tomorrow,Going to rake it tomorrow.
I heard rule of thumb would be to plant as deep as the seed's length. So far it's working out.Screwed up again by planting the seed too deep. So redid the failed seed but very shallow.

Makes sense. Many of these seeds are tiny, like 1mm max. So poking a shallow hold and dropping it in is actually a hole 10-20x it’s height.I heard rule of thumb would be to plant as deep as the seed's length. So far it's working out.
Had some Portalaca seeds that tiny. Poured them out, patted them down and they're growing. Luckily no birds came and ate the seeds.Makes sense. Many of these seeds are tiny, like 1mm max. So poking a shallow hold and dropping it in is actually a hole 10-20x it’s height.
