So had everything ready. Reviewed videos and made loads of notes.

Tonight I was going to try polar alignment. Well I can't see fuckall of the polar stars from here, even with load shedding. Apparently southern polar alignment is notoriously difficult due to the stars not being bright like in the north.

So backup plan is to get this adapter from NZ:

Which you use with the Polar Scope Alignment Pro app (Apple), you actually aim at the north polar star at the other side of Earth... lol.

I can use this app pressed against the tracker for rough alignment and a 50 mm lens in the mean time, so will give it a go in the next day or two.
