it is disgusting how much of that is out there. Was back home for a couple weeks and something that I noticed the amount of ads for sport betting on TV.
Seemed like alot more than normal

if the logic is that ads showing smokes should be banned because it exposes children then should the same not apply for sport betting? and booze for that matter?
I have horror stories from my time in the finance industry seeing people spend the entire salary to betway/hollywoodbets/bet365. I am talking as soon as the salary comes in there is a transaction for the full salary amount to the sport betting site. was at something like 1.3% of one of the banks that we handled's customers placing bets like that causing debit orders to bounce that same night. and its manual transactions by the user not something automated or physhing from the sites we investigated for that.
Governments changed, the country changed, but the old ways still remain.it is disgusting how much of that is out there.

The same for people squandering their social grants on things like the national lottery.it is disgusting how much of that is out there.

Yup, my former employer made a handsome profit on that facility- actually it began in 2015 already at other companies I worked at, all trying to get in on that action. The same for people squandering their social grants on things like the national lottery.
Mmm, I can see how that could be a problem. We have load limiting in my area now.
It doesn't have any impact on me as I now know how to manage the household power consumption.
Its scary how many people just don't get it though. They could afford to have a solar/backup system installed but never went to the trouble of actually understanding what said system does.
So my general assumption is that they all still have default settings on their inverters with battery charge up at 100% for 24 hours a day. Load limiting kicks in and the systems persist in keeping those batteries full so the 30 minute shedding is triggered. This drains the battery some more and when power comes back they now draw even more power to charge.
And then the groups start going crazy.
Seemed normal when a friend was watching sport, ramped up when the team playing was sponsored by the company. The SuperSport one was weird though. Was back home for a couple weeks and something that I noticed the amount of ads for sport betting on TV.
