What's wort?
Wort is what you call beer before it has been fermented and before it is actually beer. It is the sugar-laden liquid you get from the beer-making process. You add yeast to wort and once it's done fermenting, the end product is beer.

Sounds like a very easy process in kit form. Basically foolproof.

It is. It's not fool proof though, infection is always a concern. But it sure is easier that mashing and boiling your own wort.

I'm not sure if Toxxyc is on this forum, he's on a couple other local forums, he also sold wort, maybe he still does. His website is lazyhunter.co.za.

Got two of the Beerplus wort brewing kits. Nothing can be easier than this. Wort smells great. I got the blonde ale (with fast liquid yeast) and an english pale ale (with regular yeast).

Once unboxed looks like this:

The yeast is Kveik Oslo - Liquid Yeast and prefers a temperature range of 24-36C. I'll need to keep my study warm this week with the cold front if I want to drink it this coming weekend... Kveik can complete fermentation in three days though at higher temperature. Interesting yeast. I remember @Snyper564 liked it.

Mmm, might set up the electric blanket around the fermenter tomorrow. I don't have a thermostat handy but Kveik has such a huge range I doubt it's an issue.

How does it actually work ?
do you just chuck the yeast in and the magic happens?

These kits include the wort and yeast.
Oh ok, I see you need to use your own bucket or container to ferment in.
From the picture I thought you did it all in the silver bag, so was wondering how they did the valving etc.
