I had a dream last night in which I found a grimy old bucket full of water which brought dead things back to life if left to soak in it overnight.

Usually it's have some honey, warm tea, gargle, or frozen item as numbs throat.
There are also cough medicines that should generally be fine, have a lozenge, usually thought your doc would chat to you about it before release?

They give you a ton of meds that don't stop coughing. My ribs are sore
