I`m friends with a club, quite a commitment to try and get patched, but I enjoy hanging out with them.

Jaa joining a club is not for every one , it takes commitment .
I am not a joiner and started riding with the guys in the club with no intention to join , after about 9 months i decided to join .
I enjoy the comradery and some realy nice people , i have made some very good friends .
The jols are some thing else i enjoy .
BTW i have been riding bike since i was 17 , now ancient and only 4 years ago i joined the club .

i commute 100km everyday work and back on my 2015 Honda NC750X DCT that now has 148 000km on the clock

Wowzer that’s some serious mileage.

Any major issues in that time? Expensive bits to replace?

Why some people call bikers organ donors, this one was pretty lucky, used up about 5 lives if he'd been a cat.

Must have been the Öhlins steering damper that saved him.

Definitely wasn’t his skill, then he wouldn’t have been there in the first place.

Did it occur to the oke that he has brakes at any point?

The places you go and the people you meet outweighs the motorcycle itself. Best think I could have done after my divorce was buy a bike

Wish I could say getting to work is faster with a bike,
but it takes 1/2 hour just to put on all the gear.
The enjoyment and grin factor is worth it every time, however.

Or how does that saying go? Dress for the fall, not for the ride.

I can't say I miss my KLR, but I do still have fond memories of my XT550. I wish I had never written it off, that was such a fun bike to ride:confused:

Not to mention that dressing like a sissy for the fall, has the opposite effect of making you look pretty cool... unlike the spandex wearing self-powered cyclists who look like tossers. Don't mind it at all.

Oh don’t exaggerate so much.

It’s all of 5 minutes in reality.
