There's no vaccine, it is contagious before you show symptoms. People spread it before they know they're sick... It's easily transmissible.

Yeah, most people will get it, up to the point where herd immunity kills off outbreaks, which is what, 70% of the population?

There are some serious doubts about the serology testing and the way the body fights the virus and this puts the herd immunity theory in doubt .
I was also under that impression .

Herd immunity is a myth.

With an outcomes based death rate of 7.3%

and a world population of 7.8 billion people

that means 569 million people will die.

If it happens that that many people die, it would be sad but, from a let's look at the bright side of things, the planet and people remaining alive would be slightly better off for it..

Yes and no. The loss of people we love is going to negatively affect most people. Yes the earth will be happier with fewer of us, there will be more resources. But if important people die - like farmers, people who have knowledge that others rely on - this could dampen the benefits

I'm not thinking emotionally, hardly do.. I don't think it would be to that extent that we lose all farmers or all people who have specialised skills.. there would be fewer of them, sure, and that may cause some delay for certain aspects of life and cause havoc for some time.. humans are resilient though and will make do..

Most People != Everyone

Diseases like this appear, become prolific, then subside, then disappear. Nobody knows why.

Well we need this to happen fairly soon. I miss my CT trips. My first online training with CoCT happens at the end of the month. When they realise how convenient it is = I will lose my trips completely. These trips are what kept me sane.
