Seriously, you quoting Bible passages to me all the time, shouldn't you be quoting Dawkins, Darwin or Myers or crazy Krauss.
I am far more interested in hearing any evidence - any at all - that you can offer on the subject of "god as intelligent designer"

Your verses to consider: Proverbs 25:28

That's rather misogynistic, you know?

I hope you aren't one of those khaki short pants suit old verkrampte types, are you?

Ok I'll take the bait. This isn't MyBB you know a little dark humour is now forbidden on Grotto? What a sorry state of affairs Dave!

Proverbs 25:28

Good, good you are learning. Most insightful.

I laughed because you remind me of Richard Lewonton's mindset when he said:

Our willingness to accept scientific claims that are against common sense is the key to an understanding of the real struggle between science and the supernatural. We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs, in spite of its failure to fulfill many of its extravagant promises of health and life, in spite of the tolerance of the scientific community for unsubstantiated just-so stories, because we have a prior commitment, a commitment to materialism.

It is not that the methods and institutions of science somehow compel us to accept a material explanation of the phenomenal world, but, on the contrary, that we are forced by our a priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of investigation and a set of concepts that produce material explanations, no matter how counter-intuitive, no matter how mystifying to the uninitiated.

No

I've shown they are completely different things. I really want information on atheism being a religion. Not interested in evolution or what you believe "some atheists" think.

Atheism is a religion? Explain and show your working...

Comprehension, look it up like you did those other two words.

Atheism and evolution are like peanut butter and jam, they go hand in hand for some atheists, some see evolution as their religion, as I have shown by the quotes. The many sacred religious texts by Dawkins, Darwin, Krauss and Myers litter the book shelves of the faithful all over the world. Taking in every word and repeating it to those who will listen.

It appears comprehension is a skill you need to work on.

Please will you kindly provide evidence for this:

(Sorry, your quotes - all from the same person - do not support you here, unless you think that the weasel-word "some" allows you to make bold sweeping statements that actually only hold true for a tiny minority, if anyone at all.)

Further, that owning books indicates a "religious" or "faith" based belief in their content.

Using your logic, I am both a christian and a muslim (albeit a bad one, my Quran is a translation) and at the same time an evolutionist and an atheist.

And remember that bit about "false witness" in your bed-time storybook.

Thanks, SoldierBoy. You are doing god's work here.

Honestly scuddy it's not even worth replying to you.

I give you a video, you still argue.

I give you quotes from evolutionists (two, not one) who hold that view, you still argue.

You're as stubborn as a mule, and no doubt will argue until you are blue in face until 1am in the morning if you have to. I don't have time for that kind of hard headed arrogance. Like I said you are a fanatic who will not hear or see anything unless it agrees with what you say 100%. That's why you can't even comprehend or partake in basic debate, you just repeat the same thing over and over no matter what is presented and either misunderstand what is said, or deliberately twist what the person says, until people give up.

Enjoy your echo chamber, must be great in there.

Dude, whatever you are trying to achieve...and the obnoxious way in which you are doing it, don't. As a fellow Christian, I can understand why many people pull away from the religion. In many cases it's because of Christians and not Christianity

And let's not brush science with the same comb across the head. Science has done an unfathomable amount for the human race

I'm not trying to achieve anything. I'm just responding to scudsucker who started the tone of this conversation, I suggest you take a look. I was simply replying to him and it is a little hard to remain friendly when you are dealing with someone as arrogant as he is.

But I have realised that any debate with him is futile so I have stopped.

What are you talking about, who said I have anything against science?? Where did I say that? Macro-evolution is not science it's science-fiction.

So no evidence then.

To be honest I did not expect any, you have not exactly excelled in that area.

Where you do "excel" is dissemblance.

Tell me, serious question, how old are you?

I mean I'm just curious if it's A) Youthful arrogance B) evolutionary fanaticism brought on by the likes of Dawkins and co. C) You grew into an old stubborn bitter man.

Did I say it was banned? I asked you a question and professed a hope you weren't a certain type of person.

I didn't even enquire into your state of affairs.

Nope, I asked you to explain this idea that Atheism is a religion.

Could you also link to these "sacred religious texts" you mention above with an explanation as to what makes them sacred and religious?

So now we're pretending that obvious sarcasm (the bold bit) is being stated as facts? Are you just trying to bait me or are you serious?

you said those exact words, I'm asking you to explain your words and to back them up with links. I am looking to gain knowledge on "atheism is a religion" and the "sacred religious texts" of atheism that you have referred to.

Look up the word sarcasm. If you consider The God Delusion or On the Origin Of Species as a sacred text well then good for you!
