There's no Uber in SA? I thought there was, silly me. What about Taxify then?

PS, having to use a taxi, bus or train in the rest of the world is also less convenient than just jumping into your car, unfortunately drunken driving is treated more seriously and you've got to put up with the less convenient transport methods and not drive drunk.
You've discounted nothing - restaurant trade will suffer as a result.
All major countries are not stupid enough to enact laws that treat people like juvenile delinquents.

You apparently either love despots or you're just being another prat with an opposing opinion.

No, you forgot option 3.

Your convenience doesn't mean it's permissible to drink and drive. It's something that has to be taken more seriously in SA, and "but I want to drink in a restaurant and then drive home because it's the most convenient way to travel" doesn't cut it as a reason.

PS

All major countries have already "stupidly" enacted laws that make drunk driving a serious offence, its certainly not as culturally accepted as it is by a lot of people in SA, you're a prime example.

Nope.
Option 2 is appropriate.

Only if you don't understand that drunken driving is a serious issue that kills many people and your "convenience" isn't an excuse to continue doing it.
So having a beer or two with lunch makes you a drunk driver?

Grow up or move to a communist country if you love government so much.

I suspect the person with immaturity issues is the one who thinks enforcement of drunken driving is a communist issue...
Oh, ye of little cranial matter.
Nope moron I suspect you also failed at literacy; try reading the thread title?

Maybe you missed the fact that I was the one who wrote the title...
Nope...but you appear to have proved it's possible to copy / paste something, without acknowledging the implication of the words. Which may explain your jump to a conclusion, that the words would have rendered ridiculous.

That title wasn't a copy and paste, all my own words, sweetie.
