Yeah that’s worse, you better not get sick… uk has better recourse for compensation due to time being taken off for a positive case, specially for low income workers. They get £500 for 10 days in isolation.
I will apply for our old age pension in a number of years. Like R1.8K/month or there abouts.

@satanboy Dunno if it's my LTE, ISP, load balancer, filestream or my downloader that's giving me hassles, but let me try the downloader you use, what is it called again?

Edit: found it, EagleGet.

Mmm, website doesn't exist anymore, recent update flagged as a trojan dropper. Think I'll pass.

Alive yes.

well, not even a little. metally scarred, physically still suffering fatigue from covid early December (double vaxxed)
emotionally distant and isolated from everyone as much as possible.
unhappy with working, happy with the company I work for? unhappy with the country I live in, unwilling to make true effort to change it

so you know all in all about the same as always, slightly more self aware of my pessimism than usual

I got it early last week but very mildly (also vaxxed) but only realised it after while. I do get a dip still once or twice a day.

Change is coming to my work, we’re not keen to proceed the same way as before.

Heh. Work.
Got an email yesterday from the ceo saying the cto has left the bank.

No warning, nothing. His AD account and email were deactivated in the morning. Normally HR takes a couple of weeks to get that all tidied up.

that's pretty crazy. somehow the company I am with has had higher staff turnover in the Chief section than in the rest of the company in the last 2 years.

considering that there have been 5 people who left the country, 3 people who quit for better opportunities in the normal staff that says something...

I'm still trying to motivate myself for the office.

I'm in the bizarre situation where I got bored last week and finished up everything that I had left from last year and came in over the holidays while everyone else only returned yesterday.

Now I'm effectively waiting for everyone else to catch up before I can carry on.

Also doesn't help that one of the main shareholders who I spend most of my time with keeps getting positive PCR tests and can't return from Europe.
