You arrived just before I left. You must remember we were mostly watching Operation Desert Storm in the canteen hall in those days. Half the artillery Iraq had they got from us. I don't know if the roofies were allowed to watch telly though in those days.

no telly for me
i lived in a tent for the entire year
dont recall the guys in the dormitories ever having tv either
i was there when Gulf War was on, Operation Desert Shield

but that ended quickly so there was no chance they were gonna send us newbie troeps over :ROFLMAO:

Can see the flossie in the first pic. IIRC only Rundu and Grootfontein had an LMB?
Would you know if he was with 34 Bat or 6 Maintnaai as a driver?

The Oke reckons he was a "tiffie?" (sp) , recovered vehicles that would no longer operate...

Nice stuff .... swart beret tiffy, cant remember, think was 101 workshop?
Had two mates there, Sean Squire and Wayne Rundle - would have been around 85, 86 or there about.
