I did my army stint July 1981 to June 1983. I was at a few infantry bases and a platoon commander my last year. I also did 10 camps after finishing my two years. I have never experienced anything like this, it probably was an isolated incident of some sort, probably an opfok of some kind.Anyone who served in the old SADF care to comment on what's happening in this photo?
That reminds me of when we had to leopard crawl through the water under barbed wire. As each person passed the corporals they would put their boot on your head (helmet) and push your head all the way underwater. Fun times
