Isn't it rather fox or cnn?
Still not sure what is true and what isn't
It all depends on whether the person you are listening to is a Republican or a Democrat
But can they really be ?Sheer stupidity.
I watch a lot of people on YouTube - so it goes deeper than the major playersIsn't it rather fox or cnn?
But can they really be ?
And that is really the crux of it. At its essence, Obamagate is an extraordinary example of leadership by distraction. Rather than address issues head on, leadership by distraction cynically uses the tools of diversion and division try to change the focus of the American people. By creating inflammatory and fictitious narratives, leadership by distraction searches for election issues when there are none. It uses clickbait slogans to mask complex challenges. And most of all it belies the concepts of leadership altogether – leadership by distraction is the antithesis of leadership.
It is leadership by, in the President’s words, hoax.
Remember, Flynn’s conversations with Kislyak were discovered as part of the routine surveillance of Russian officials’ communications by the National Security Agency. Usually, the identities of any US citizens who happen to show up in these intercepted communications are protected, since the NSA isn’t supposed to spy on Americans unless they get a special warrant.
But US officials — including members of Congress — can ask the NSA to “unmask” the names of these US citizens to better understand the foreign intelligence intercepts.
The list Grenell provided shows the names of top Obama administration officials who had been authorized to access the intelligence, though NSA chief Paul Nakasone could not confirm that the individuals on the list actually saw “the unmasked information.”
Before you shout “bombshell!”: Unmasking is standard practice. The Obama administration did it. The Trump administration does it. According to NSA data, from August 2015 to August 2016, about 9,000 US citizens were unmasked in communications. In 2017, more than 9,500. In 2018 — Trump’s first full year as president — more than 16,700 US persons were unmasked.
The memo from the NSA that reveals the names of the Obama officials who might have seen intelligence on Flynn also says that “each individual was an authorized recipient of the original report and the unmasking was approved through the NSA’s standard process, which includes a review of the justification for the request.”
Again, unmasking is supposed to happen when US officials legitimately need to know an individual’s identity to better understand an intelligence report they’re getting, as the New York Times’s Charlie Savage explains.
But Grenell’s declassified document lacks this context. It doesn’t say which intelligence reports about Flynn were unmasked or why. The dates on the document provided extend from the specific time period of November 8, 2016, to January 31, 2017; at least when it comes to the Russia investigation, Flynn had conversations about sanctions with Kislyak in December of 2016. Some of those intel reports predate that, so it’s not even clear it had anything to do with the Russia investigation. (Flynn was also up to some strange stuff with Turkey.)
Of course, this is not exactly how Republican allies of Trump are spinning this. “In light of General Flynn’s unmasking by the Obama Administration, the job of Congress will be to perform oversight of these unmasking requests to ensure the process was used for legitimate national security concerns, not reprisals or political curiosity,” Sen. Graham tweeted Wednesday.
In real life, Obama appointed a Republican to lead the FBI, who then was pressured by a combination of Republican leaks in his agency and Republicans in Congress to publicly reopen an investigation into Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton days before the election, at the same time it publicly denied the ongoing investigation into the Republican nominee. Not only did Obama refuse to interfere with this process after it had played a pivotal role in Trump’s election, he privately comforted the FBI director.
Before the election, Obama was also so skittish about sharing intelligence that Russia was working to help elect Trump that he tried to get congressional Republicans onboard before making any public warning to state election officials. When they refused and denounced his intelligence as partisan, Obama meekly held off rather than risk appearing to manipulate intelligence to help his preferred candidate. (“Key Democrats were stunned by the GOP response and exasperated that the White House seemed willing to let Republican opposition block any pre-election move,” the Washington Post later reported.) Trump and his allies have actually taunted Obama for this, turning his hesitation to appear to abuse his office into a way to blame him for allowing Russian interference.
If Obama is the sort of president who would create a pretext to spy on the opposition party, it’s odd he was so cautious about using those powers when he had ample pretext. For that matter, it’s odd that he never ginned up an investigation of his opponent in 2012, when Obama had even more at stake in the outcome.
For Trump, “Obamagate” is a wish-fulfillment fantasy. He believes every president does, and should, use the Department of Justice as a weapon to protect his friends and harass his rivals. The greatest ire he has reserved for any of his underlings is the yearslong grudge he’s held against Jeff Sessions for the sin of following the black-letter law requiring his recusal from the Russia investigation, and refusing Trump’s entreaties to violate the law by un-recusing himself.
Merica gets fucked through 2 party politics and their ridiculous election process. By the time the final 2 canditits for the presidency are revealed many Mericans don't want either of the two.
The mere fact that a narcissistic douche-cunt like Donald Bleach-In-The-Arm Trump made it to the Oval....guys....these people don't know what's best for them.
Having said that, I guess Cheques and balances is in order right?
It's a shiny object to distract folk from taking a good, long look at you-know-who's appalling handling of the virus and 90 000 dead Americans.
so funny.
corona blabla so appalling he did nothing! make fun of them redneck hicks! then proceeds to flood the streets a short while later with the slogan, we cant breath.
2 sides of the same stupid coin.
His little get together tomorrow isn't going to help either. The handling of the virus started off badly, but then Trump's administration implemented every control recommended to them by experts. They even had a surplus of ventilators. It's all smoke and mirrors. Those numbers are also very dubious in my mind.
But, Trump will be blamed for the deaths for the shit for brains rioters who ran around with no masks and were in massive crowds.
His little get together tomorrow isn't going to help either.
