German language. Oh no, the Germans are making "American" high school movies! The talking penis and vagina was funny though. 5/10

Hagazussa (2017)
German language. There is so little dialogue in this movie, you don't even need subtitles. An atmospheric horror story about "witches" and madness. A very slow journey. 6/10
Corner Office (2023)
What an excellent comedy, it reminded me of my previous working environment. Brilliant performances all around. Most people don't seem to agree with me. 8/10

It was a great-looking movie, but beneath the shiny exterior is a pathetic attempt at horror. I can't believe I am saying this but the child actor was better than ALL the adults. The cast was overacting, the storyline was ridiculous, and there were unbelievable reactions and behaviour from the characters. A waste of time, unless you want to see how not to make a horror. 4/10
The Nile Hilton Incident (2017)
Arabic, Italian, English, French, Egyptian Arabic, Dinka languages. Dirty cops and a murder "investigation" during the Egyptian Revolution. If you are looking for a reason not to visit Egypt, you will find it here. 7/10
The Quiet Girl (aka An Cailín Ciúin) (2022)
Irish language. I was really battling to decide whether to watch this or not as I really dislike kids. This is easily the best movie I've watched in years. It is like a beautiful painting with a sharp edge. 8.5/10

Prey (2022)
The fact that the leading actor in this movie is 50% Native American Indian is a problem. She doesn't act like one, but the rest of the cast does. The character is also a bit too macho IMHO. If you are into sci-fi action you could overlook those facts. 6/10
Pawn Sacrifice (2014)
Excellent performance by Tobey Maguire. The true story of Bobby Fischer (is very sad). 7/10
Beau Is Afraid (2023)
This movie is filled with symbolism and craziness. As they say, too much of anything isn't good and this has bucketloads of the aforementioned. Joaquin Phoenix gives a brilliant performance. To me, this is a story of madness and depression. The SO couldn't even make it past 30 minutes and this is a minute shy of 3 hours. Thank goodness those were not really Joaquin's testicles! I must say that I laughed a lot, some people would find those scenes disturbing. 6/10
