Why not wait until they need replacing? Sure mercury isn't the best thing to keep in your mouth due to toxicity and visually looking kak, but drilling them out releases mercury...Fek I'm in pain.
Went to dentist this morning to start process of removing old amalgam fillings and replacing them with the new shit.
Two quadrants done, the rest in two weeks.
Site visit end of the week for full solar quote. At this stage it's not even really about LS but the price of electricity, I suspect I can pay it off in five years by paying roughy what I pay now anyway (or a bit more) and thereafter electricity is free. A no brainer.lolfuck, 5 more units offline at eksdom today...
solar geyser dropped my usage by close to 40%This is a rough calc based on my usage and expected increases (note it excludes infrastructure charges). Need to also go solar geyser but that's a fraction of the electrical cost

Hi all, I am finally getting round to making this thread. After loads of research and another bout of load shedding I finally decided to pull the trigger and load shed Eskom. Prior to going solar I already had all the lights on LEDs, house is kitted with energy efficient appliances and...mybroadband.co.za

I had 3300W nominal. That was good for 20kwh/day in summer and about 12 in winter. So it will depend on what your consumption is - and also, what your battery capacity is.@Sinbad how many solar panel watts did you have? Dude recommended 5,000W to be Eskom independent.
