From 1 (bad) to 10 (great). Similar to the Happy Meter thread.

I've been an optimist for a long time. But this week it finally broke down. The corruption, racism, entitlement, incompetence, lazyness, cheating, lawlessness, crime, violence, shit attitudes, economy etc. has broken my long standing optimist back.

(edit: used to be a steady 7 for a long time)

I was just sitting here, right now, thinking that maybe it's time to fuck off to Israel... The only country I can get into... Only problem is my kids won't go and I will never go without them.

1.

The Clicks debacle this week has highlighted just how easy it is to divert attention away from lack of jobs, housing, service delivery and corruption by crying "racist". Not that there are not race issues, there are. But they are lost in the populist stampede to cry outrage at the most ridiculous examples, in this case a term for hair volume, and the real issues are overlooked as the finger is further pointed at white people.

All hope is lost. There is no way back. Those who seek to divide us along racial lines have won.

1 with the current politicians in charge - all they do is to line their own bank accounts and everything else can get fucked.

8 with the right people in charge (which will never happen)
