One slice of dry white toast and one boiled egg at 8:00, then nothing until after the procedure tomorrow
In 1996, I underwent an endocrine system test [Barium-based if I remember correctly] for which I had to prepare by ingesting nothing but consommé and white bread for a day or two - all while in an eating disorder treatment in a clinic in Johannesburg. I did not enjoy that.

If I could write a script, I would do a rip-off of one of those ASMR role plays on YouTube using the hoarse voice I have at the moment.

Becks is OK. The Devils Peak Hero is better. There used to be an Indian 0% beer that was actually really beer-like, but I have not seen it for years.

Good luck with the bum-probe!

... which reminds me, I once went to a London strip-pub (basically a normal pub, just with strippers) where they had a non-alcoholic stout on tap. I had to try it, it was really good, very similar to Guinness. I think it was called Calliber.

The DP is 0.5% and didn’t want to take a chance. Anaesthetists always look horrified when I ask if I can drink tonight. Only other option was Heineken. Took the cheap room so no bar bridge, ice in the sink will do.

Probes done but still degassing (they fill you up with gas). I’m done with this, don’t care what the cancer risks are, not doing this again until my 60s.

Nice set of east facing panels @spizz… Drove almost all the way to Sandbaai before realising I don’t live here anymore!

All done, mostly ok. So still a mystery as to the low iron.
that is really stange.
could it possibly be mal-absorption?
I know Caryn needs to get a bunch of supplements after the surgery last year.
and the gas is by far the worst part. tomorrow and the day after you might find weird aches and pains in strange places. Caryn had a "bubble" trapped in her sternum that was very sore only went away around day 5 even with physio. her mom had one in her left shoulder that also lasted a week, but she did not have as much physio after her gastric bypass surgery.
