I remember them coming to play at the OK. Pay-day weekends there was always live entertainment between Pick 'n Pay and OK's parking lots. Was usually country and western singers - but sometimes they got other bands. There were borrie rolls, slushies, ice cream stands etc. Sometimes even a whole carnival. Considering they had to close the only club and movie house we had in town because of the drug deals going down - it was the only entertainment we had lol. Springbok radio did so many things there too - as did the other stations. I suppose it was because of the mines.
