No, his brain did.

I've had a few bad trips. The one lesson I can share is NEVER do acid when you are feeling unwell, anxious, upset or even a bit down. It ain't going to be nice. It also depends on the strength (but you will never know that for sure). Just remember you are on for a 6 hour ride you have very little control over.

That's good advice. My suggestion would be never do acid.
