I've always pondered what would happen if Neo took both the red and blue pill.

That has never crossed my mind but that is a seriously good question.

In my mind they are/were both placebos( even though Morpheus said the red traces the actual body) to be used for the test, as Neo is still in the matrix when he takes them.
