It’s been done in other ways as well, like moving the hard drive head in certain ways. It’s a very low bit rate though. Quite fascinating.

I asked my son - he says it isn't particularly clever - just a different way of doing things. He is busy with his masters in physics so understands stuff like that. I, personally, think it is clever - provided you can get the malware on the pc and sit there long enough with your app to read the vibrations.
