That was mostly in jest, though I am a little bitter about the episode

I imagine any one would be bitter when something like that happens.

I figured was I jest but the bitterness still came through.

Divorce is a fucking pile of shit.

Because I make more money I chose to pay for a large percentage of costs of the the lawyers (My lawyer was in control of negotiating, )

My ex's lawyer basically said yes/no. I imagine she billed, but I paid mine and the High Court Fees. And turned up in High Court to testify in a divorce I did not want, instead of forcing her to do it.

This divorce cost me well over three times my wedding expenses. Her costs were as minimal as you can get when interacting with lawyers (still insanely expensive)

I am comfortable that I did her that favour.

But yes, I am quite bitter

After a whole day on the road to Hermanus and back we get home with a cat with a closed eye. Closest 24h vet was about 30 minutes one way.

He’s got conjunctivitis and needs eye drops everyday for five days.

Not exactly what I needed after a long day. After hours vet is also bloody expensive.

What is he full story?

Have had no power in my suburb since around 6am yesterday. Wind damage. Other parts of East London also down, while others have had power restored. AN old schoolmate of mine said that he got his back after 58 hours.

I have my smartphone, tablet, and LED lantern charging here at work.

People will be losing thousands of Rands worth of frozen food. :-(

first Quote on fixingthe boke came directly from teh Insurance company and their supplier. was R22K. missed the brake lever.
I decided to get a second quote because if you missed the brake leaver, what else did you miss?
I opted to send it to the guys that fixed my bike last time.
turns out the first guys missed a lot. like a lot a lot.
their first quote came to R54K. but that is all Brand new parts from the supplier. wont be sending that quote to the insurance, getting a reQuote done to use non original parts of some things and potentially a different exhaust.
I thought there was not a lot of damage. I missed that my light holder was broken, handlebar was bent and excahst was scraped all the way though so it needs to be replaced. tank has structural damage.
I can see the damage to the exchaust and the tank in the fotos I took now that I know what to look for.

Take the R50k and put it down as a deposit on a car.

It’s probably an insurance write off anyway.
