scrumptious

Have an appointment with my psychiatrist tomorrow. Wheels haven't come off yet. Doing just enough to keep my head above water. Better than drowning. My room seems to have aged with me.

[Frozen in time. Someone fleeing the destruction of her home seeks refuge in a forest. A student goes missing in the archives. A traveller shelters in a cave during a snow storm. Centuries pass. History becomes legend...]

for the first time in my adult life i am considering buying a house instead of renting.
combonation of body corporate dragging feet with rules on putting up solar, and giving us a hard time to approve a second kitten. city by laws say 2, complex says 1. might be a fight, I just have not had the time to figure it out.
and then the idea that my wife and I move in wiht our best friends in December when their contract ends on the provision that her mother moves to cape town before then.
so we are looking at 4 beadroom places in the same area of pretoria that we are in now and they move to our side from midrand.
PLan is kind of, rent together for a year to get time to buy a place. and get that paperwork sorted.
I will probibly buy the place in my name Cary and then the others handle the otehr household expenenses.
I have never ever been keen on buying a house, I always wanted to be able to leave the country easier without the cost of a house holding me back to the country. but that idea is starting to change now....

I fell in love with Cologne in Germany when we were there in 2019. I really liked the way Germany operates. so I have always been pulled that direction or towards the Netherlands. the language barrier to Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland is simply too big and does not really allow them to be options. I have tried to learn but it just does not work for my brain. I can learn German (and I am learning it) and Dutch is easy for me to learn because I already speak Afrikaans. wife is currently doing both on Duo Lingo as well. she is much better at language then I am. and the rest of the Quaple is also on German. the GF is on Japanese and that is her goal eventually....

Just microwaved some Thai food leftovers. I am scared of "hot" and "Thai syle" with a place I do not know, but I like "very hot" so I usually order "hot" and add habenero sauce to get some heat

My one cat came over and begged for a treat, so I gave him a piece of habanero thai chicken.

I thought he'd be unimpressed, but no, the little fucker wolfed it down and came back for more. The sauce I use makes ME cry, not sure how the cat managed!

just be careful of onions/garlic and pepper around cats. alliums mess with their blood pressure and pepper causes urinarytract infections.

And lilies. Often used in flower arrangements. Everything about lilies are toxic to cats: flowers, leaves, pollen, stalks, water it is in.

There are many other but lilies are top of the list. We had a plant removed last year when it flowered and we realised it is toxic.
