Do you sometimes feel like dropping out of whatever games and online activity you might be involved in and taking a break from it all for an indefinite period?

I've been wondering whether I am letting myself down or expecting too much and being too hard on myself so far as how my life has gone again.
Our leave system is paper-based.
@satanboy: my brother was also surprised that an IT services company would still be doing things that way.

Not just IT company, any company. I've seen ancient sage systems, but have not heard of any company that's more than 10 people that doesn't have an electronic system (heck, we had it for our 3 man start-up as it made quoting/invoice generation a lot easier, but that's a different package).
The cost really isn't that high (R30pm/employee) while making it a lot easier to keep track of payroll and leave, very strange to have a business nowadays to go without it.

I might have worded that poorly. We have a payroll system, but if a staff member wants to apply for leave, they have to print out and fill in a form, then give it to their manager.

You could say who offended her if she told you, without breaching the privacy of what happened.

It was all rather sudden.
Why don't you just ask her so you don't get any secondhand info? You know, straight from the horse's mouth, figuratively-speaking.
