I cannot choose. Sooo many have affected who I am or saved me from where I was.
But some opened doorways to who I am becoming and what I like now. So just going to mention the groups/people if you don't mind.

Queen (anything by them really)
Avenged Sevenfold
Eminem
Greenday
Depeche Mode

My list is a helluva lot longer than that though.

Pink Floyd--DSOTM
Mötley Crüe - - Shout At The Devil
David Bowie-- Diamond Dogs
Iron Maiden-- Powerslave
Tom Waits-- Nighthawks at The Diner

I had to be pretty selective and leave out a LOT of obvious choices coz 5 is just waaaaaaay too few

Growing up I remember the music being EVERYTHING.
It permeated my entire being and wherever I went I had a pack of vinyls under my arm.
I can quite easily track my youth; where I was, what I was doing and which girlfriend I had at the time just by naming albums.
My teen years would have sucked if it hadn't been for the bands I loved.

Music has always been vital throughout all my years. Even today - music takes me out of here and to an amazing place. And yes - memories are tied to many of the best songs.
