I hate wifi, only thing connected to it is my phone
on LAN is my 2 smart tvs, 2 computers, xbox and ps3

Same here, everything wired except for phones and tablet.
Old people afraid of technology and don't know how to use it properly.
You do know FB is not the internet, right.

/Now where is my glasses, I need to read this tech manual on how to start up this drone thing, apparently it can fly?

I prefer reliability and speed. Suck on that.

For stuff I use I prefer wired, but for kids and old people it is much easier to set them up on wifi so that devices "just work."

:) When it doesn't, I just blame the ISP. (y)

Are you trying to make a point? If so, I'm missing it...

Let me try and help you understand then.

Smurf said:
Exactly !! The air is dirty and slow
LAN for the win
To which I answered:
Unless you live in the 21st Century and actually use gadgets with WiFi only connection.
Smurf then said:
I don't, all my gadgets are tethered on an RJ45 plug
To which I answered:
I'd like to see you hardwire a Chromecast...

See, there's logic to my reply, sadly it was lacking in yours...

You skipped the first quote:

He is using wifi.

It is completely possible to have a reliable and fast WiFi network.. you just need the right hardware..

Sent from my LM-G850 using Tapatalk
At a price. Quite happy with my cheap GbE setup. Wifi I use for phones and tablets.

Shall I try again? Simplified...
He said he has both wifi and LAN and dislikes wifi but uses it for his phone (for obvious reasons).

His last quote re the RJ45 plug I believe was a bit of a joke. Guess you didn't get it.

 I think I've fallen into parallel universe here:alien:.

Bio, it's not a difficult exchange, it's not a serious exchange, it was banter about some gadgets only working on WiFi.
