Dragon fruit. My first time ever. A very different taste. The flesh closest to the skin has an earthy flavour and the rest is sweet. I like it.

Took some dragonfruit seeds couple months ago and planted them. Seedlings growing nicely. Takes about 4 years to mature.

I haven’t seen a Mikes Kitchen since 1991. There used to be a great one at Bayside Mall.

Edit. Maybe that was a Saddles and the one I’m thinking of was in Sea Point?

We used to go to the one in Stellenbosch often as students for the beer. If you ordered a small plate of chips you could help yourself to the delicious bread at the salad valley.
