Bitter Orange Cider: home brewed
Bitter Orange Cider.jpg
8.5% ABV
Moderately back-sweetened (250g erythritol in a 20 litre batch) -- to maintain the inherent bitterness of the bitter oranges.
Very refreshing with a tart after taste.
Well carbonated, with a head that dissipates relatively quickly.

I buy cheap stuff, and last I bought Vat 69, which is so bad I have to mix it with something.

Previously I have enjoyed Black & White and Firstwatch.

Any other recommendations from those that also stick sub-R200?

All of those sounds like whiskey you mix with coke
/runz

For drinking neat onthe rocks, look at Bains (R299) or balentines

Tafel

Tafel 1/4s have to be the cheapest beer in GP at the mo. R20+ cheaper per case than the closest SAB beer.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with VAT 69. But the best sub R200 IMO is Three Ships 5 year old.

Three Ships 5-year old is probably one of the few things under R200 you can try and do neat.

Or try a Bourbon, Jim Beam currently going for R189 at Checkers.
