Poor should be allowed to steal from stores?

Oh boy, where to start...
  • first off America is a federal republic of states; and if you appreciated that, you would not simply dismiss it as the "the worlds most capitalist country"
  • secondly its a bit naive to try to assume that capitalism is somehow oil to socialism's water -- if that were the case, then pray tell what do you call China then? How did they maintain their totalitarian socialist / communist system of governance whilst avoiding a repeat of the economic depravity of Mao Zedong? ... their economy in contrast has thrived.

America can be thought of as a federal republic of independent countries (they call states); each with their own independent system of governance, laws, elections, etc. -- states that who agreed to unite as a federal republic of states, sharing a common federal system of governance, federal laws, elections, etc. Practically that means that each state, and in turn each city and county has a far greater degree of autonomy than e.g. provinces and cities have in South Africa

That autonomy depending on who is elected can enact very socialist style policies and laws, whilst another can embrace a very strict classical liberalist approach, etc.

As for your conclusion that the crime is a consequence of capitalism -- that's just silly, and clearly demonstrates your ignorance of both capitalism and the direct consequences of legislative / governance policy decisions, etc.
The term victimless crime is a ridiculous misnomer; crime always has a victim...

Indeed, where to start. I know, let’s play your game.

First off, your article in the OP calls it victimless crime, hence my mention of it and the quotation marks around it.

Secondly, the same article also mentions several states where the shoplifting epidemic is taking place, all of them in the US of A. Hence my reference to it.

And thirdly, although it is a contentious issue and can vary depending on who you talk to, “America” is widely agreed to be a single continent made up of several countries spread across two subcontinent’s, North America and South America.

HTH.

Well done for not addressing:
  • your doofus opinion that capitalism is somehow the driving force behind crime epidemics.
  • capitalism and China.
  • any apparently any correlation between crime epidemics and leftist around; similarly the bleeding heart homeless encampments, and the tourist welcoming sidewalk needle and human turd displays, rat infestations, etc.
  • the fact that each state functions independently except for the federalist parts. Yeah America, South America blah blah blah... some unarmed "contentious issue"

Yeah, it’s intentional. Maybe I’m wrong, but I reckon people like you haven’t got a fucking clue about life outside your comfortable middle class existence where you are handed everything on the plate your parents provided. No idea what it’s like to grow up in a poverty stricken shithole although somehow feel entitled to comment on it.

Nah dude. This socialism and these lefty policies you decry helped me though school and university and onto a life I could never have dreamed of if the state never funded it.

Nope, someone speaking to me about socialism from a point of privilege means nothing to me.

Tsk tsk an assumption proves yet again that you're a moron.
Ps. Nope you're completely wrong, and not by a little.

From your remarks you clearly have no idea what socialism is, you present simply as another pro leftist fool who is incapable of critcal reasoning; hence you foolishly try to superficially rationalize that socialism is somehow a good / workable ideology for humanity, by brushing away its murderous history and abject failures every time it was attempted, and then you try to equally idiotically reason that capitalism is somehow the root of all evil.
I can only conclude you understand neither.

Whew... shame .🙄

Side note:
I similarly can only conclude that your avoidance of any response to the idiocy of your previous statements is because you've acknowledged them to be so, and is why you so obviously side step discussion; and instead build new strawman to torch.

You make it abundantly clear that you have no idea what your scary boogeymen marxism, fascism, socialism and communism are, other than things to be mindlessly and thoughtlessly terrified of.

Perhaps if you understood these concepts - and crucially the differences between them - and could produce a cogent argument against each of them, you would be a little more believable.

As it stands, all you do is exhibit paranoid fear, which is not very convincing.

PS, you never got around to explaining how fascism fits in with the other three.

Nope, it's because there is no discussion, it's only you being stupendously arrogant and calling people out as being wrong. And yet you expect me to sit here and bat the ball back to you so you can continue being a dick and argue over definitions and history? And from what perspective I wonder? Where does your life experience come from? Anyone can shout other peoples opinions over the internet. It's useless. Or maybe tell me otherwise?

Where have you encountered state aid being handled properly and making a difference or not to poor people and society? Which countries have you visited? Rich countries, poor countries, socialist, capitalist? Have you actually encountered poverty either first hand or otherwise and where was it? What were the state doing about it? Where did you study and what qualifications do you have? Who paid for your education? Do you have medical aid? How old are you and who do you live with? Do you have children, what school do they go to? Who pays for it? Who paid for their birth, I'll bet it was a caesarian (100 bucks says it was).

So how about we start with those and then I'll see if you have anything to back up the theories and strong views that you, imho, have pulled from the internet or round the braai with your white pals in the small dorpie or suburb that you've never left. Because in my experience, the only people shouting about left and right are people who have no experience of life outside of their own environment such as these type of white South Africans who give the redneck Trump supporters a good run on abject stupidity and cluelessness of how the world actually operates.

Time to shine.
