No if it is an email for web format - it will paste and be converted. @dabean was correct in what should be done if you don't want that happening - or past as Text as @satanboy saidUse notepad to remove all formatting as when it’s pasted, it becomes plain text then copy n paste from notepad. Then there’s the option of the T backslash icon which also removes formatting ironically .
