I have a feeling that the RTX 3090 fan design is going to be a hot topic

This thing is not going to do well in most case designs from the last three years that are not mesh front panel with high airflow, IMO.

Just open the last 3 back panels, you'll thank me later.
I think that's probably going to be the fix for a lot of cases. I know it's not going to fail, but there's probably a lot of heat trapped in fins that don't get good airflow.

90? is that like an 80ti+?
Rumoured to be, yes.

And from the leaks I've been following, the combination of a massive GPU die with GDDR6X memory pushes the card into too-hot-to-handle territory. There's a reason why it's a 350W GPU with a triple-slot heatsink.

Yeah it's not a foolproof solution but better than having a hotbox. Also there's meshes on the market that you can put in place of the closed back panels to allow air to escape better and avoid dust entering from outside.

Another solution is to install another fan under the GPU to push it out the back.

Just my 2c worth.
