The English Cricket Board is streaming an intrasquad three-day match. Ben Stokes captains one team, and Jos Buttler the other. Joe Root is missing because apparently the birth of his child is more important (he's already had one child before this).

In local news, Cricket South Africa is arranging some sort of three team slog-off on 18 July at Supersport Park.

The teams are captained by Kagiso Rabada, Quinton de Kock, and AB de Villiers.

de Kock has huge talent of that there is no doubt but unless he learns to concentrate and think a little more rather than just relying on talent he will never reach the heights is capable of.

Like his dismissal in the the first innings, going like a train and then he get's out. Just a little more circumspection.

I think I would agree with Mr Root on this one.

Looking at the replay it seems that de Kock did get quite a good delivery, but my post still applies as he has come short several times in the past by rushing things.

Being all out could actually be a blessing in disguise. With potential rain on the way batting the whole day could have seen a draw but now we have the chance to bowl them out.

An unfortunate outcome for South Africa as play is abandoned in Hobart meaning they share the T20 World Cup points with Zimbabwe. Despite Quinton de Kock's best efforts, No Result is possible as DLS would only apply if SA batted 5 overs.
