How do you get rid of ants? Preferably something that is pet safe.

Years ago, Fanie recommended NipIt. I tried it. It worked. Dunno about pet-friendly...

This sounds pretty good:

“An easily applied granular bait formulation for use outdoors.
• Controls ants, eradicates whole colony
within one week, including queen
• 99 % organic, low toxicity to humans
and pets
• Small granule, any size ant can pick up
granule
• Not a contact insecticide, not necessary
to open nest or disturb normal ant
activity
• No prominent smell, neutral colour
• Convenient, ready to use”

If I can put it in a container the ants can get to but not my cats that would work for me.

So called ant traps. I have used them over the years. You break off three tabs and put a brick on it. Has syrup the ants take into their nest.

At best it reduced them some, never gets rid of them. It's also quite expensive for what it does.

Going to try Nip-it. Just need to find a container and make holes in it. Don't want to toss it everywhere.

Place a saucer of wine on the one side and a saucer of pebbles on the other side. The Ants will go for the wine first, get drunk, get rowdy and then throw the pebbles at each other, thus "stoning" each other too death

You said safe and kill ants. Don't think you get something like that. Nip-It works for a while but then the ants come back. Also don't know if it really kills the nest as claimed.
