*The last British Harrier flew in 2011. The new aircraft carriers carry the F35B Lightning. It is also capable of landing vertically.

Maybe I'm just a silly billy who call then harrier carriers. ;)

No, the old carriers were called Harrier carriers, they were HMS Invincible and HMS Illustrious, and size wise were pretty small for being aircraft carriers.

Now being turned into razorblades after being chopped up in Turkey.

The new carriers are HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales, they are about three times the size of the little harrier carriers.

Here’s a photo of Illustrious waiting to be scrapped alongside Queen Elizabeth as it was being completed, shows the size difference quite well.
