We used to visit my aunt in Durban over the Christmas holidays. My gran (in her 80s) stayed with them.
I was 12 or 13 at the time and there was a Cosmopolitan magazine in the toilet which set me off.

I don't think anything has ever gone as I thought it would. I try to remind myself of that when some future event makes me anxious.
Things usually turn out better than expected (in my experience anyway).
I stopped smoking (again) on Friday.
It turns out that Civilization 6 is more addictive to me than nicotine. Hardly any withdrawal at all.
I nearly fell asleep between turns more than once.
I wasn't committed in in 2021 although it came close. Took some time off things that tend to aggravate me (politics/scams especially).

It still bugs me that we can't really share internal experience. After my smell came back I have a new sickly-sweet smell that's shared by hand-sanitizer, mint-toothpaste, lots of foods and literal feces. Aftertaste/smell in general but it's enough to put me off my lunch.

I have a zoom meeting with my psychologist coming up again soon. Any doctor has to at least talk to you to renew you prescription (max 6 months). agreed.
