That would be nice, actually. One of these days, I think water will be worth more than gold at the rate that our reservoirs are emptying

I think so. Connecting will be a bit tricky, due to the location (we have a very uneven plot) but I'd like to get everything connected up so that it's as seamless as possible.

Yup, scary times. My Yebo tank has been ordered, 2-week wait but hopefully I can get it sooner and start hooking things up

Not sure what you have but judging by the experiences had in PE, I cannot recommend Frogfoot unless they are your last resort. And if they happen to be your last resort, I'll gladly donate two tin cans and some string as it's bound to be more reliable. Enjoy the staycation!😁

That's correct! I took a position at a turquoise bank not long after, and have been here for about three years now. We started to WFH when lockdown hit, and have been ever since. We've been fully equipped to work remotely, and they are making it the new norm going forward, which is nice. I...

I'm all good! How are you? I haven't been to your side of the world in forever. Left the telecoms gig and went back to IT - no more driving around all over the country anymore:D

    3. House purchase process is dragging. Need to drive to Kirkwood on Wednesday to go and renew my driver's licence card. No snacks in the house. Santa is going to be very frugal this year.

What to do with old microwave oven?

Update: I went to a nearby filling station and gave it to the attendant who helped me. He was very grateful, and he mentioned that his current one keeps on tripping his plugs at home when he uses it. At first he kept on asking how much I wanted for it, because he couldn't believe I wanted to...

    Weather !

Reporting in from a very chilly Port Elizabeth... We had some sleet earlier on, which was quite something. I wouldn't call it hail, it was more specks of ice than actual hailstones. I ventured out to grab something from the stores and nearly froze my nads off. I'm guessing it couldn't have been...

It took me a while to get into the habit of first strapping my helmet on before putting gloves on. This is a few years back, before quick release clips became the norm. Or leaving my bike keys in my pants pocket, then invariably having to remove one glove to fish the keys out again.

What to do with old microwave oven?

Thanks all. All the services I've found in PE seem to charge for collection or require that I deliver, which is a far drive for me. I'll contact one of the many appliance repair shops on Gumtree and see if they would be willing to pick up.

What to do with old microwave oven?

Got a new microwave to replace our aging Russell Hobbs one. The old one still heats up food, but the base is rusty so it's cosmetically not 100%. What is the best way to get rid of it? I'd hate for it to sit on a rubbish dump and rust if someone could use it. It still works 100%, it is...

The enjoyment and grin factor is worth it every time, however. Or how does that saying go? Dress for the fall, not for the ride. I can't say I miss my KLR, but I do still have fond memories of my XT550. I wish I had never written it off, that was such a fun bike to ride:confused:
