    Who's coding in what?

PHP, JS & React, focused around custom WordPress development. Also big on Tailwind and Alpine.js.

    Nintendo

Imo it's disgraceful that Nintendo can run a major sale without including a single first-party title.

    New Firefox, are you coping?

Thanks! I haven't used Firefox in ages on Windows as I feel that the text rendering is total shit. But I use Firefox Dev Edition a lot on my new Mac and I didn't pay much thought to the rather ugly design. Damn, it's much better when turning proton off. Wtf were these people thinking. After...

This book should be required reading for everyone in the west

Damn, that is sad as hell.

    Stand-up Comedians

American liberalism and the hysterical left has nothing to do with liberalism elsewhere in the world. I'm liberal and left on almost all issues, and I can clearly see that America has a problem. On both sides. Personally I think America's right is an order of magnitude more harmful than its...

    Stand-up Comedians

Holy shit, wtf happened to JP. Last time I saw him he was pretty chill, now he's some right wing nut job? Damn, what a shame.

    M1 Macs and Big Sur

It might be something I care more about with a larger drive on my eventual MBP, but even then I'm not sure I'd care for it. The few times I've had to start from a blank desktop for some reason, I actually like the opportunity to scorch the Earth and start again. There are apps I seldom use...

I am a Freelance Android and iOS Developer

No prob. Yeah takes a special kind of person to stir the pot over something as innocuous as 'necroing' a jobs thread to leave contact info.

    What's For Dinner Tonight?

There is an Econofoods not too far away! Been really enjoying buying from them. I'll check out the pork shanks, thanks!

    Does this forum tolerate racism?

I haven't been following this thread. Has a consensus been reached as to whether this forum tolerates racism?

    What's For Dinner Tonight?

Aged rump steak happening later. Wanted to do my favourite oxtail stew, but the steak was substantially cheaper.

    M1 Macs and Big Sur

I don't care much for Time Machine because all my apps and files uses cloud storage, but needing an entire drive is a bummer. My externals are all between 2TB and 8TB - dedicating one to backing up a 256GB SSD is a bit absurd. I'll have to make sure my MBP later this year is at least 1TB I guess.

    Anybody else using Linux??

Fair enough, that's a pretty shitty thing to do. And again, I don't find the iPhone value proposition compelling enough to buy into yet. The last time I purchased an Apple product before my MacBook Air (and Magic Keyboard 2, Magic Trackpad 2 and Magic Mouse 2) was the 80GB iPod. Owning the M1...

KZN Farmers Take Back Their Security | Carte Blanche | M-Net

This has become a problem even in PE. Utterly brutal home invasions nearly every single night on small holdings and farms next to the city. Three family friends have sold up and moved into regular city homes in response to horrifying shit going on near them. The cops say it's a well-organised...

    Anybody else using Linux??

I'm an Android user, so you won't find me defending the locked down iPhone. It was just something I read recently from some FB group, that iOS users have a much higher propensity to spend money. I can't remember the exact link, but a quick search finds similar articles...

    Anybody else using Linux??

I disagree about the difference in app quality. But you're right that the quantity of users and apps makes sweeping conclusions impossible. InSync or any other third party Google Drive solution isn't necessary for macOS. Many M1 Macs had serious problems until the last month with G/Drive, but...

    Anybody else using Linux??

I've been making the opposite case though, that access to quality apps is one of the defining features of a good OS. Like MS Office, Creative Cloud, any tweaks you need to get things exactly as you like them etc. With Windows you're obviously well covered, but I have found a noticeable...

    Dilemma- WhatsApp

I've used Telegram primarily for years already. All my closest friends, family and colleagues are on it. I keep WhatsApp installed because it's ubiquitous and would be a frequent issue if I didn't have it. Not to mention my neighbourhood's awesome WhatsApp group that keeps me in the loop. I've...

    Anybody else using Linux??

For a platform as nice to use as macOS, it seems unlikely that such a state was arrived at by not considering the needs of their users. And where they fall short, like with window snapping or mouse calibration, it only takes a minute to find and install an app to fix the issue. A very large...
