I should, I suppose, explain my forum name at this point.
"Scud" was the colloquial term for sorghum traditional beer, made by the Chibuku company in Zim. A "scud" was a term for a specific 2 litre barrel shaped container, the term originated because the roll-out of the 2l container coincided with Gulf War II.
For those of you who do not drink traditional beer: it looks like day-old vomit; it smells like day-old vomit; and, to be honest, creates immediate vomit in people who have not habituated themelves.
But, to the rest of us... scud is pure liquid gold. Delicious, nutricious, cheap and easily available (at least, in Zim, Northern province, KZN and Gauteng).
