Durian filled doughnut was not particularly nice.

My wife has eaten Surströmming, which is also not very nice.

I tried, really hard, to find dog when I was in Flores, Indonesia, but it is illegal. We did spot a road repair team roasting a dog on a spit, but you need to know the right questions to ask to get dog in a restaurant; and I as a foreigner never learnt them.

The worst thing I have eaten, I think, is squid biltong. Well, that and anything from Wimpy.

No, I am going with squid biltong. Wimpy is #2.

I should, I suppose, explain my forum name at this point.

"Scud" was the colloquial term for sorghum traditional beer, made by the Chibuku company in Zim. A "scud" was a term for a specific 2 litre barrel shaped container, the term originated because the roll-out of the 2l container coincided with Gulf War II.

For those of you who do not drink traditional beer: it looks like day-old vomit; it smells like day-old vomit; and, to be honest, creates immediate vomit in people who have not habituated themelves.

But, to the rest of us... scud is pure liquid gold. Delicious, nutricious, cheap and easily available (at least, in Zim, Northern province, KZN and Gauteng).

Liver wors.

I mistakenly picked it up thinking it was boerewors, cooked it up( I was probably a bit vrot at the time) with some other things. I remember thinking the combination was smelling a bit strange. One bite was all it took, I couldn't even do the washing up that night. Even the next day my stomach was still twitching.

I have read labels very carefully since then.

I am not a big fan of liver; what fucking idiot thought making wors from liver would be a good idea?

Droewors, maybe, to help train dogs, but not real sausage for real people!!

No idea, it came from our local Spar.

I am having cold shivers just thinking about it, PTSD is real.

As in due to being off or as supposed to be prepared? Going with latter.

Marmite. Cooked raisins, for some reason my body can't stand it, that includes the smell of hot cross buns. Some cheeses (there's one, think Limburg or something, you get it often in cheese places here, tastes really good to begin with but absolutely horrendous after taste).

Thinks that I thought would taste disgusting but are fine but wouldn't want to really eat (off the top of my head): Mopane worm, goat's brain.

Drinks wise, lots and lots of different cocktails when you know people going through hotel schools, the recipe I'll never be able to say/remember. :p
Then also smoothies, whenever people get a new blender for the first time and put everything in it, my mom used to make this horrendous just cucumber one, nothing else added, and it wasn't fine enough to actually be good. I love cucumber cut up, but the texture of it blended like that just wants to make one gag.
