It is funny.
Ja you don't stay in Table view and surrounding areas and have to put up with all the douchebags from the West Rand in Gauteng that have flocked in here in droves.
The wheel-spinning and general uncouth behaviour I experienced in Joburg has now moved here... this afternoon I was trying to write when I heard them spinning their wheels nearby - empty vessels still make a noise even if you take said empty vessel from West Rand to Cape Town

Perhaps you are unaware that Table View has always been a kommin suburb. Move to Melkbos if you want some class.

I lived in Table View for 20 years and of course, I came across some common cunts, but the majority of my neighbours were normal people.

I went to a few braais in Melkbos with people living in R8m homes and they and their friends were as common (racist and drunk cunts) as dog shit. Some of them even had the audacity to look down on me as I worked for Santam at the time.

Common people are hiding (in plain sight) everywhere you go.

Melkbos is the place to be when you think your shit doesn't stink.
Also, the area wasn't "kommin" as you say it is. It became this way when two things happened.
1. Someone thought it was a nice quick way to get rich by developing every scrap of land around Sunningdale and erect thousands of broom cupboard sized apartments
2. Shit got so bad in Gauteng that many decided to move down here, and many settled in Sunningdale, in those very broom cupboards I mentioned.
I am not sure what the hell happened in JHB to drive them all here in droves (I haven't lived there in nearly a decade), but yes, lots from all the kommin areas in JHB living close to me, a gradual increase in their numbers with a peak over Dec/Jan. And so, the kommin behaviour of revving car engines, spinning wheels, shouting at the ruckby and getting poes dronk and driving into the traffic lights is now installed here.

Sadly excited about the new hand blender I got myself today :( it even has a whisk included!
Hi all.

Hints of positive emotion here and there are not a bad thing. Some might even envy you.

I bought myself a bottle of ginger beer to celebrate my salary increase on Saturday morning. I had told myself that I would do that, but it doesn't always pan out that way. 😗

Judging by the damage around the keyhole of the front gate I spotted when my brother returned me to Beatty House on Saturday afternoon, somebody tried to break in. We're lucky he didn't climb over the gate. Security isn't great. Residents sometimes forget to lock doors or close windows.

It rained this weekend, so some of my laundry is still damp.

Hopefully the hotel has been rebuilt by the time you get there.
I am aware of the hotel that burned down. They may change it to a boutique hotel, but the golf course clubhouse and other clubs are still going. Building a hotel will probably take a year or two imho. We should be there in May.

I will try to remember to ask him.
I did ask him, and he did not know. But now he does.

Not sure how well my simplified explanation will sink in - he knows how a rainbow works, so I used that to explain how Raleigh scattering works amongst the various air atoms in the upper atmosphere.

Also that our eyes only detect RGB, if we had a proper violet detector, the sky would not be perceived as blue.

Fuck I love kids. Clever little bastards.
