Going to have to go back to our offices to fetch my flash drive this afternoon. I left it plugged into my laptop, and it has all of my work files on it.
/facepalm

fckin h3l. not sure who messed up this badly between FNB and CCD but they are going to be getting an earful from me after work.

my card and the secondary card in my wife's name expire end of the month.
I get the call to arrange delivery and its delivered this morning. nothing for my wife. knowing it might happen in a different batch because its a secondary card I dont stress should happen later this week or next week for secondary cards right?
half an hour after my card is delivered I get a call from a gardner in a different complex about 1km from our place.
my wife's card was wrapped in a slip from CCD with my number written on it and stuck in the complex gate. and just left there.

like WTF. who signed for it? who authorised the delivery? who arranged pick up? who validated ID number and signed for the card being delivered?
how can so many mistakes happen on one card delivery? who is to blame? FNB for not ever letting us know the delivery will happen or CCD for never calling to arrange delivery?
Note card is usually locked, issue is when you unlock without knowing if someone tampered with the envelope.

I'd probably ask for news cards at their expense due to chance of fraud.

The original lyrics were “Yadda yadda yah, yadda yaddah yah,yah/ Yadda yadda yadda, bom bom, kah kah/ Spazzin’ on that ass/ Spaz on that ass/ Fan me quick girl, I need my glass.”

1 - that must be the shittest lyrics in pop music
2 - bwahahaha

no real need envelope was sealed new card has not been activated yet.
plus I am going an extra step. I am leaving FNB. this was the last straw. doing comparisons now. that card will likely never be used as I should be with a new bank by the time the current one expires.
between standard and capitec for who offers me the best rate on the bike loan

Ccd's issue.

The courier probably had both your cards with him, dropped yours off, got to the next delivery, realised he had another one for you and couldn't be arsed to retrace his route.

no it full on fell out of his car.
when I got the card from the gardner he told me where he found it.

when the courier came by again later he told me he was at the other complex before he was at mine.
neither me or the courier knew I was supposed to get two cards.
so he would have finished all his routes and would have had 1 card extra and then delivered it.
instead he had heart failure because his system showed he was supposed to have 1 card to still deliver but he did not have a card with him.
he started calling all his deliveries to find out if he delivered the correct amount of cards and lucky I recieved my card from someone else who saved his job.

Does his job deserve to be saved? not really.
but at the same time the good deed done by Peter the gardner saved one other guy's livelyhood as well as saving me from potential fraud.
I am just happy it was one of the few good people left who found the card. I think there are maybe 1% of people who would have done what Peter did.

whats up with the dude in the pirate costume in the bottom left?
I know captownians are weird but is there some sort of themed cruise or something?

There's a fake sailing ship that looks somewhat like a pirate ship, which does booze cruises to Clifton 4th beach

that's kind of cool
but even from the picture it looks plastic or photoshopped.
but the next time I am forced down to the pretentious part of the country I will bring my own pirate costume and go on that booze cruise for damn sure.

I select 1 Jan 1900 as my birth date when I order alcohol from Takelot.
Amazon doesn't ask your birth date, it asks for certain characters on your id/passport that include your birth date and some characters as a checksum. Kind of like the system.
