I get your drift, but Rake is one of the best TV series of all time and the main characters accent is pretty tame. Absolute brilliant though, I've watched them through 3 times.

I was referring to the main character in a series called "Rake"
The main character is the guy who is messed up, not the people he is defending.

Danish language. A great detective series that had me guessing up to the 2nd last episode. 8/10

If you are watching Danish and Norwegian language series, I assume you are aware of the existence of subtitles?
Once you understand WTF they are saying, you might start to understand Strine. Just watch with the volume low for a few episodes...
My wife speaks Norwegian, so we watch a fair amount of Swedish and Norwegian series/movies. I've picked up a tiny bit.
EDIT: also can I introduce this book to you, which my parents (jokingly) used to use to translate my various uncle's accents:

I started a re-watch of Succession seasons 1 and 2 last night to get back into the story with Season 3 now being released. Highly recommended for those who haven't seen it. It's also on Showmax for those of you wanting to watch it the easy way.
