How's your walking now? Are you able to walk a fair distance without feeling breathless?
No...
Which is probably why dr said 6 months.
I can walk further and longer than before.
If I want to walk further it is easier if I stop before I struggle for breath. Then walk a bit, stop again. Etc.

I can now at least manage going into a grocery store and buying what is needed.
Permitting I stay walking slow I can manage.

Stairs are better now as long as there are not too many.

As long as I can see improvement I am happy. Though there are still days when it feels worse. Then I look back to when I came home and compare to the current bad day. The bad day would still be better than back then.

I think that has also helped me cope better on a mental level.
Only have 3 antidepressants left. After that I either need to ask for more or go off them.
Got them because of waking up every night at 01:08, both in hospital and at home. I still don't know the significance of that time, will probably never find out.

It takes ages if you hand it in. We did when we were checked out - no lie - more than an hour. And they had 3 power failures so the systems reset before they could print. Tills reset too.
Gosh! Surely as a hospital their system should auto switch with no down time.

This side even the take home meds needed scanning and emailing.

As long as you're gaining your strength and health back day by day. That's what counts.

He has given me 5 days of antibiotics. If it is not fixed I will go back to my doc. Some people are never cured and some need a longer run with pills.
But they are no longer swollen and they are starting to look normal - no longer red

Clearly I have not been paying attention for a few months. Had no idea you were still dealing with post-covid symtoms. Damn, hope you feel better soon 🤗

Sister-in-law has been in Hermanus hospital from the 4th August and leaving today....in an ambulance again.

Ambulance cost one way R6,500
Cost more than here. R5k here.

Is your wife close to her sister?
Is it covid related?
Or something else?

Not Covid but 5 hernias.

All the local hospitals were full. Brooklyn to Hermanus. (120km)
Then it's not a bad price.
She can come to GP hospitals. Covid hospital case on the decline, so its possible to open wards for other stuff.
