First lot were more like bricks.

The first digital sets in SA weren’t that brick like, but the battery life was really bad.

The Nokia 1011 was almost pocketable, the Motorola 5200 and Ericsson 197 and then the Ericsson 337 were. I luckily knew someone at a service provider and went through all of them in about a year.

Which one was your favourite?

I remember you mentioning still having a classic phone on your drawer.

I emptied the drawer some time ago and took a photo. Most are now in a box in the corner of my office.

I‘m not sure how I ended up hoarding quite so many old phones, as I was usually of the habit of putting the old one up for sale when I took a new one. These must have slipped through the cracks and ended up at home.

When did you get into the mobile phone/service trade, in the UK or here? Sure I asked you before but can't remember. Have a vague memory of the UK.

The 6310 was great. No antenna and as solid as a rock, and you could probably use it as a weapon.

As an aside, they must have used the best grade lithium in the world for the 6310 batteries, I pulled a 6310i out a couple of months ago and the original slim batteries took an immediate charge and held the charge on the phone. The older thick batteries from the 5110 were completely dead.

Fek me my motivation is at a low point again. Scramble as we may just can't get projects committed with the current mess.

I just want to get on a plain and go somewhere civilized for a few weeks.
