Sea Point side swipe? Been there.
Yea. Was at a friend and outside on the pavement talking to her, and next thing there is an almighty bang.
I look up and there is a car spinning on the road with a trail of sparks behind it - heading towards us. Came to a stop about 4 or 5m from where I was standing.
Driver was pissed, lost control and hit the parked BMW, bounced off it and came spinning towards us.

I swear I felt a little poo running down my leg.!!

No. Some guy from the building opposite.
He came down and lost his shit entirely
and understandably.

In the 90s, when the club was still in Marshall Street, I was standing outside with another oke who eventually became one of my bouncers when a similar thing happened. The drunk offered up R50 to pay for the damages before trying to speed off. Since we were young and stupid and probably a bit mean, we kicked his ass a bit before fetching the car's owner. Nothing severe - just a blood nose and maybe a black eye. I figure if we had not done that, the drunk would've gotten away.

This one didn't.
Cops happened to be there for some other reason when it happened.
Loaded up the driver
