What shoes do you wear?

I've always been a bit obsessed with looking to see what shoes people are wearing. Nothing weird or kinky, just generally what shoes men and women choose to wear on a daily basis.

So, post a pic of your favourite pair at the moment. I've always been into 'desert boots' as we call them in UK, or vellies, as you call them in SA, and am currently rocking a pair of the Veldskoen branded ones just like this.

Italian brands (various) for work and going out.
...at home it's farm gear -- so Crocs, and Wellies

Wellies or Vellies? If vellies, any particular brand you prefer or just the local Agrimark jobs?

I have a bit of a shoe fetish; so brand does matter to me. ;)

I have a lot of shoes > 60; acquired during my travels; at home though it's more practicality; Italian uppers don't do well on a farm.

If it's wellies then it has to be Hunter.

But yeah, I'm also a bit obsessed with my footwear, even my still toe cap work boots are Timberland :p

One thing I do not do though is actual "shoes". I don't think I even own a pair of normal leather type shoes.

Edit: Thinking back, the last shoes I owned were Doc Martens and then I got them for weddings and funerals probably 30 years ago. God knows where they are now though.

😁 We all have our own preferences. I have a few pairs.

I have a pair of Timberlands; use them when I'm doing metal work e.g. welding; for toe protection.

That's where we differ I have a lot...

Had a shoe and shirt phase first half of the 2000s but since I started this company, I'm still with, 14 years ago, it's been tshirts and boots.

So mostly Salomon boots or tekkies. But lately mostly in this, even go out in it.

Still have a two door cupboard full of those shirts and shoes. Never worn it in over a decade.

Where are your customers; remote? don't you have to engage with them in person?

For me it's primarily South East Asia and Europe and with both, how one presents themselves is important...
...even something quite antiquated like business cards is vital in South East Asia, France, etc.

Nevertheless I like to dress up when I go out with the wife and kids... my casual (comfy) gear is pretty much only for the farm.

Makes sense; my business partners and me all engage with customers; we're engineers and account managers; our contract staff however fit in with the customer's work attire.

Makes sense. I thought you also dabbled in iOS and Android apps.
We have apps that go with the platform. But I also did some freelance app dev for two years (2017/18) on the side when I had some financial issues to resolve.
