The Forza series is everything I ever wanted from Gran Turismo. I wish I discovered that fact before Horizon 4.

Don't really care for almost any of the PlayStation exclusives. I bought nearly all of them for PS4 and the only one I was mad about was Horizon Zero Dawn. God of War was cool for the story, but I didn't much enjoy the gameplay aspect. Have been unable to get into Spiderman thanks to how insanely unintuitive I find the control scheme.

I'll get a Series X at or near launch to take advantage of Game Pass Ultimate, and get a PS5 when Horizon 2 releases.

im different here
own an xbox 360 with original steering wheel and i love the car games

bought a PS3 coupla years ago and cant get my computer steering wheel working with it, oh well no love lost

point i wanna make is i love consoles for their simplicity, switch on and game works 100% everytime

but deep down i am a RPG gamer and love Skyrim and such and the whole keyboard and mouse maneuver that i just cannot find in a console machine, its time this 48yr old man retires his consoles (and i still have my original PS1 from 1999) to start saving for PC hardware again. Going to be weird going back to that again as i have been on boring MAC for last 10 years

I don’t know what the hell is going on here.

It looks piss poor, as in not even on par with current gen Forza titles.

Yamauchi is a perfectionist genius so I don’t know how this went out the door unless some politics were involved.

****

More specifically referring to the gameplay they showed at the reveal event but even the trailer is hardly all that by GT standards.

What are your views on the Playstation 4 Pro? Is it not worth the extra money if one does not have a 4K and or HDR-capable display to plug it into?

Really depends what your future plans are and the price premium difference.

Unlike the Xbox One X not every game benefits from super-sampling and so it’s not a universal betterment on a 1080p display.

If you plan to ever upgrade your Tv though you’ll need to buy it all over again.

Quite honestly buying a new console now is a bit silly with the next generation around the corner.

Put the money away until end of the year instead.

Hmmm....I'll only replace my tv set when it stops working.
The console is being bought for me as a present. If the price of the PS5 is in the $500+ range, I would expect it to go for much more than a PS4 would. I hear that the games are going to be pricey, too. My plan with the PS4 was to buy second-hand games.

As soon as the PS5 launches you'll be able to get a used PS4 for cheap. I recently sold mine for R5,000 including two controllers, a charging station, a mouse type controller and six games. Only used it for ten hours over five years so it was basically new

The PS4 Pro gets better framerates and visuals in games optimised for it. Horizon Zero Dawn is pretty noticeable with the aliasing, and Spider-man is noticeable with the framerate, as two random examples I've personally seen. With some of the best games for the platform releasing recently - The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima - you'll want a PS4 Pro to experience them optimally. Also, you'll eventually upgrade your TV anyway.
