Hmmm....I'll only replace my tv set when it stops working.Really depends what your future plans are and the price premium difference.
Unlike the Xbox One X not every game benefits from super-sampling and so it’s not a universal betterment on a 1080p display.
If you plan to ever upgrade your Tv though you’ll need to buy it all over again.
Quite honestly buying a new console now is a bit silly with the next generation around the corner.
Put the money away until end of the year instead.

As soon as the PS5 launches you'll be able to get a used PS4 for cheap. I recently sold mine for R5,000 including two controllers, a charging station, a mouse type controller and six games. Only used it for ten hours over five years so it was basically newHmmm....I'll only replace my tv set when it stops working.
The console is being bought for me as a present. If the price of the PS5 is in the $500+ range, I would expect it to go for much more than a PS4 would. I hear that the games are going to be pricey, too. My plan with the PS4 was to buy second-hand games.
